Man, I love my job! Today I shot an episode of Stihl's Reel in the Outdoors with my buddy Pat DeCastro of Kerry Automotive, guide Mac Gregory and mate Nick Wettstein in Longboat Key, Florida. Unbelievable action! Jumped 14 tarpon up to 150 pounds.... Can't imagine how cool this episode will be. I'm so looking forward to tomorrow!
To help you look forward to it, I'm going to give away a Stihl shirt and hat to one of the commentors on this day's blog by tomorrow evening.

ReplyDeleteJoe,
ReplyDeleteYou gotta hook me up with this guide. I have been going to my dads summer house in Englewood for 30 years and still haven't fished for tarpon. Last year we went down to Key Largo and I hand feed the wild tarpon from the dock of a restaurant. That was cool!! What a powerful fish!! One grabbed my hand and almost pulled me from the dock. You talk about Bass rash on your thumb!! Catching a 60+ lb tarpon is definitely on my bucket list!!!
Awesome tarpon Joe! That's definitely on my bucket list. And just think, some people catch those from kayaks!
ReplyDeleteAwesome fish! That had to be a blast to catch!
